Affiliate Program Terms of Service
Last updated: October 08, 2026
These Affiliate Program Terms of Service ("Affiliate Terms") govern participation in the Experts platform affiliate program ("Affiliate Program"). By applying for or participating in the Affiliate Program, you agree to comply with these terms in addition to the general Terms of Service of the Experts platform.
The Affiliate Program enables approved participants to promote courses, events, and other offerings available on the Experts platform and earn commissions for qualifying purchases generated through their referral links or codes.
1. Eligibility and Approval
Participation in the Affiliate Program requires prior approval by the platform administrators. The platform may approve or reject any affiliate application at its sole discretion.
Approved affiliates will receive access to referral links, tracking mechanisms, and promotional tools that enable them to promote eligible courses and events on the platform.
The platform reserves the right to suspend or terminate affiliate access at any time if an affiliate violates these terms or engages in prohibited promotional practices.
2. Nature of the Affiliate Relationship
Affiliates act as independent marketing partners who promote courses and events available on the platform. Affiliates are not employees, contractors, or representatives of the platform or course instructors.
Affiliates may promote any eligible course or event that participates in the Affiliate Program. Affiliates independently decide which offerings they choose to promote based on their own audience and marketing strategies.
3. Commission Structure
The Affiliate Program operates using a two-layer commission control mechanism to ensure fairness between instructors, affiliates, and the platform.
3.1 Affiliate Commission Rate
Each approved affiliate is assigned a base commission rate determined by the platform administration. This rate represents the maximum percentage of a qualifying transaction that the affiliate may earn as commission.
3.2 Course-Level Commission Cap
Course or event creators may choose to enable or disable affiliate promotion for their offerings. When affiliate promotion is enabled, the instructor may define a maximum commission percentage that affiliates may earn for that specific course or event.
3.3 Commission Calculation Rule
The commission applied to a transaction is determined by comparing the affiliate's approved commission rate and the instructor-defined course commission cap. The actual commission used for a transaction is the lower of the two values.
In other words, the commission percentage applied to a transaction will be the minimum of:
- The affiliate's approved commission rate
- The maximum commission percentage defined for the course or event
This mechanism ensures that instructors maintain control over the commission levels applied to their courses while the platform retains overall governance of the affiliate program.
4. Commission Funding
Affiliate commissions are funded from the instructor's revenue share for the applicable course or event.
After a qualifying purchase is completed and the platform revenue split is applied, the affiliate commission is deducted from the instructor's portion of the transaction.
The platform's revenue share remains unaffected by affiliate commission payments unless otherwise specified in promotional agreements.
For events and courses owned by an organization, the affiliate commission is deducted from the organization's share under its organization agreement, not from an individual instructor's share.
5. Eligible Transactions
Affiliate commissions are generated only for qualifying purchases that occur through the affiliate's referral link, tracking code, or approved promotional method.
The platform's tracking system determines whether a transaction is eligible for affiliate attribution. The platform reserves the right to make final determinations regarding attribution disputes.
6. Coupon Codes and Affiliate Promotions
The platform may allow the use of promotional coupons or discount codes in combination with affiliate promotions. In such cases, the final purchase price paid by the customer will be used to determine the transaction value.
Affiliate commissions may be calculated based on the final purchase amount, depending on the promotional structure configured for the course or event.
7. Refunds and Commission Reversals
If a transaction that generated an affiliate commission is refunded within the platform's refund policy window, the associated affiliate commission will be reversed.
If the commission has not yet been paid out, it will be removed from the affiliate's pending earnings balance. If the commission has already been paid, the platform may deduct the reversed amount from future affiliate payouts.
8. Payment and Payout Schedule
Affiliate commissions remain in a pending state during the platform's refund window. Once the refund window has expired and the transaction is considered final, commissions become eligible for payout.
Affiliate payouts are processed according to the platform's payout schedule and may be subject to minimum payout thresholds and payment processing requirements.
9. Prohibited Conduct
Affiliates must not engage in deceptive, fraudulent, or unethical marketing practices. Prohibited activities include but are not limited to:
- Misrepresenting courses or instructors
- Using spam or unsolicited messaging
- Creating fake purchases to generate commissions
- Promoting content in violation of applicable laws
- Impersonating the platform or its instructors
Violations of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of affiliate access and forfeiture of unpaid commissions.
10. Program Modifications
The platform reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Affiliate Program or any portion of it at any time. Changes may include adjustments to commission structures, eligibility requirements, payout rules, or program features.
Continued participation in the Affiliate Program following such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Limitation of Liability
The platform shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the Affiliate Program, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of business opportunities, or technical errors affecting referral tracking.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By participating in the Affiliate Program, the affiliate acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Affiliate Program Terms of Service.
