Privacy Policy

At Experts, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our platform.
1. Introduction
At Experts, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our platform.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, enroll in a course, or communicate with us. This may include your name, email address, payment information, and profile details.
3. e-Learning Data Collection & NELC Reporting
Experts is an accredited e-learning platform. As a condition of that accreditation, we report certain data about your activity in accredited courses to the National e-Learning Center (NELC), a Saudi government regulator, through its Learning Record Store (LRS), as xAPI statements. The subsections below describe exactly what we report, why, how long we keep it, and your rights. This reporting applies only to accredited-course activity; if you select "Not applicable" for your National ID/Iqama, nothing about you is reported to NELC.
A. National ID / Iqama
To complete your learner profile you provide your Saudi National ID or Iqama number. If you do not hold one, select "Not applicable" — your activity is then not reported to NELC. When you are reportable, this number is included in each report as part of your learner identity. It is encrypted at rest, is never displayed or returned to you or to any other user through our platform, and is decrypted only at the moment it is transmitted to NELC.
B. Demographic Details
Alongside your identifier, each report includes limited demographic details: your full name always, and — where you have provided them — your mobile number, nationality, and date of birth.
C. Course Reviews (Free-Text)
Where you write a text review in addition to a star rating for an accredited course, the text of your review is included verbatim in the report to NELC, in addition to your rating score. If you would prefer your written review not be shared with NELC, you may submit a star rating without a written review, or contact us at [email protected] before submitting your review.
D. How Long We Keep This Data (Retention)
We retain your National ID or Iqama number, together with any demographic details and course-review text included in the same report, for as long as you have NELC-reportable learning activity. A separate, encrypted copy of each report we send to NELC is also retained after it is sent, as an internal audit record confirming that the report was made; we are working to define a maximum retention period for that audit copy.
E. Where Your Data Is Processed (Cross-Border)
NELC's Learning Record Store is hosted at a Saudi government (.gov.sa) domain; based on that, we understand this processing to occur within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and we do not treat this reporting as a transfer of your personal data outside the Kingdom. We are confirming this directly with NELC and will update this section if that understanding changes.
F. Your Rights (Access, Correction, Deletion)
You may access and correct your profile information, including your National ID/Iqama status and demographic details, at any time in your account settings. You may also contact us at [email protected] to request deletion of the data described in this section, and we will act on requests to the extent our regulatory reporting obligations to NELC and our operational capabilities allow at the time. Please note that information already reported to NELC forms part of the regulator's official records; as an independent recipient, NELC's retention and handling of what it has received is governed by NELC, and cannot be retroactively corrected or deleted by us.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services, to process transactions, to send you technical notices and support messages, and to communicate with you about products and services. This includes sending transaction confirmation emails with your invoice attached, where applicable. We may also send you promotional communications about offers, new content, and features, which you can opt out of at any time.
5. Information Sharing
We do not share your personal information with third parties except as described in this policy, such as with your consent or to comply with legal obligations.
As described in the "e-Learning Data Collection & NELC Reporting" section above, we report accredited-course activity — including your National ID/Iqama, limited demographic details, and course-review content where applicable — to the National e-Learning Center (NELC), a Saudi government regulator, as a condition of our platform's accreditation.
6. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the information you provide, please be aware that no security measures are perfect.
7. Your Choices
You may update, correct, or delete your account information at any time by logging into your account settings. You can also opt out of receiving promotional communications from us. For details on your rights regarding data we report to the National e-Learning Center (NELC), see the "e-Learning Data Collection & NELC Reporting" section above.
8. Cookies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our platform and hold certain information. For detailed information on the cookies we use and how to manage them, please refer to our Cookie Policy.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
